What’s Your GOAL For The New Year?: Is A PLAN To Get There Ready?

Every New Year’s Eve, many of us look positively forward towards a better, more successful, and personally self – fulfilling year to come. However, as in most endeavors, a dream, regardless of how important or impressive, rarely moves us forward, until, and unless, we create a plan, and begin taking action, towards transforming our dreams, to goals, to meaningful self – improvements! Therefore, as we begin 2021, let’s try to make this year our best one ever (in whatever way, it means to you!), by, first identifying clearly the GOAL (and why it’s significant personally), and, then, having a PLAN to be prepared, and be ready!
1. Generate greatness: Are you going to merely accept good – enough, or will you consistently demand your personal best efforts, and generate great results, and individual greatness? Have you devoted your best efforts to identifying and knowing what you consider great, or do you go through life, merely saying you’re doing your best?
2. Options; opportunities: Do a committed analysis and know your alternatives and options? Why do you prefer one course over another? Have you taken care to assure the choice is based on what’s best, rather than merely most comfortable? Once you decide, how will you be best prepared to take advantage of the best opportunities, that present themselves, or alternatively, create the best opportunity to achieve your objectives?

3. Aptitude; attitude; attention: How good is your personal focus, in terms of serving your best needs, and personal self – fulfillment? What are you, ready, wiling and able, to do, to synergistically utilize your highest quality aptitude, a truly positive attitude, and consistently pay attention, to all the necessary details, to become the best you can be?
4. Listen; learn: Do you merely hear, or do you listen effectively? The difference is that, while hearing is merely a physical activity, effective listening, requires commitment, effort, and genuine empathy! Will you commit to learn from every activity, or will you be another individual, who often dooms himself, by repeating the same mistakes, and refusing to learn from history? Einstein is often credited with defining insanity as repeating the same activity and expecting different results!
5. Prepare; position; ponder: Don’t let your own rhetoric become dominant over your logic and/ or analysis! What will you do differently, or better, to best position yourself for a great year, to come? Will you ponder all possibilities, or merely continue with the same – old, same – old approach?
6. Leap: When you’ve fully considered what is best for you, will you take baby steps, or will you trust your decision sufficiently to leap forward, in a dramatic and relevant manner?

7. Articulate; accentuate; accelerate: How will you proceed to accentuate the positive, etc? Will you be confident enough to articulate clearly and confidently your well – developed opinions and considerations? How will you accelerate the process, in order to progress in the best direction?
8. Needs – centric: Don’t just do something, but do things which address the most important and relevant needs, in a way which will motivate you sufficiently, to do something about them?
