Queen Elizabeth Dies at the age of 96 – Tragic News for Everyone

A very tragic news came out on Thursday when the Queen Elizabeth II left for heavenly abode. It is indeed a very depressing news for the people of Great Britain and the rest of the world, who respected the queen a great deal and held her in high regard.

The 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace. When physicians first started to get “concerned” about her health, she was placed under medical surveillance.

Her grandchildren William and Harry, as well as her children Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, were said to be present.

The longest Reign:

With a 70-year reign, the queen had the longest tenure of any British monarch. Since King Henry VII, she was the only British queen to not rule over the entire island of Ireland. She made the State’s first visit by a British royal since the country’s independence in 2011.

Firstly, She was the first child and eldest daughter of Prince Albert, Duke of York, and the granddaughter of the then-reigning king, George V. She was born on April 21st, 1926, and in 1936, following the unexpected abdication of his older brother King Edward VIII, who had no children, her father succeeded as King George VI.

Moreover, the Prince of Wales is the monarch and ruler now. The Duchess of Cornwall is now the queen consort and he will be recognised as King Charles III.
