IFEANYI’S DEATH

Following the popular singer, Davido’s post on his Instagram handle where he was seen teaching his late son, Ifeanyi how to swim, he is of no doubt a true father who is always willing to give his child the best. The DMW boss has proven himself to be a true father figure by balancing his career and his family without suffering a deleterious effect.

Ifeanyi, Davido’s first son, drowned in a swimming pool at his father’s house in the Banana Island, Lagos State. After being taken from the pool, the three-year-old boy was reportedly transferred to a hospital in the Lekki district of the state, where one of the attending physicians verified his death.

According to reports, Lagos state police have detained all of Davido’s domestic workers in connection with the death of his son, Ifeanyi. The Lagos State Police Command verified that they have all of the employees in custody and would be interviewing them.

 

While Davido and Chioma were away for a reportedly family function, Ifeanyi who was born in 2019 was reported to have been underwater for a very long time before being spotted and rushed to a hospital where he was, however, confirmed dead on arrival.

The horrific incident happened on Monday night (October 31), a few days after his third birthday.  (October 20). According to a family member, Davido was traveling to the US at the time of the occurrence. Chioma was thought to have left the infant with a female domestic assistant before traveling to Ibadan.

Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of Davido and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, drowned to death, according to the autopsy, the Lagos State Police Command reported on Saturday, November 5. In an interview with the media, Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the development. “The autopsy has been completed,” stated Hundeyin. It has been proven that Ifeanyi, the boy, drowned.

Pop artist Davido has remained distraught and unconsolable for twelve days following the death of his son Ifeanyi, showing that it will take him a long time to forget the heinous act from his memory.

Since last week, when the tragic news of his boy’s death by drowning in a pool at his home at Banana Island sent the internet into a frenzy, Davido and his baby mama Chioma have been inconsolable, withdrawing into their shells to grieve for their lost son. The musician, who virtually ever logs off of social media, has subsequently avoided being in the open. Fans of the singer are hoping that he will quickly recover from the trauma and shock of his son’s unexpected demise.

THE WEDDING

Davido’s Instagram pages are still swamped with tributes to his late son to this day. On his social media pages, the artist has heartbreaking pictures of him playing  with the late Ifeanyi. Particularly, the footage of Davido carrying Ifeanyi in the pool a few days before his passing still makes people feel sorrowful and lost.

Soon after the passing of their child, Davido and Chioma made the decision to become a couple. Following the passing of Ifeanyi, Chioma reportedly told Davido that their engagement was over and that they had no further obligations. This information was posted by a blogger on Instagram.

Recall that Davido and Chioma said their wedding would take place in 2023. The blogger claims that Davido married Chioma to comfort her and reassure her that her position in the Adeleke family is solid.

His other baby mamas apparently weren’t pleased with the news, and Sophia reportedly didn’t feel sorry for Davido or Chioma after their son passed away. Without any cameras present or photos being taken, Davido and Chioma were wed in Davido’s father’s home. The traditional wedding took place on November 6th, and the registry will be ready sometime following week.
