Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has instructed all of the church’s provinces to launch “Operation show your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC)” in an effort to motivate members to take part in political activities in 2023, according to Daily Trust. Early in 2023, Nigeria will conduct its national elections.
Belemina Obunge, the Intercontinental Youth Pastor/PICR, wrote the following in a letter to the provincial pastors on June 17, 2022:
“We refer to the above and wish to kindly inform you that we have received a directive from the Mission Authority to ensure a high level of sensitization in all our parishes on the need for all our members to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.”
The letter reads further:
“Based on the above, Provincial Hqtrs and Mega Parishes are encouraged to use their parish as a center for one or two days to facilitate their members’ & interested neighbors’ registration considering the closeness of the deadline (June 30th, 2022) of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise. Provinces will be expected to give an executive summary of their parishes’ compliance with the aforementioned mandate to the office of the undersigned, detailing the ratio of adult members to PVCs counted. The report is anticipated by Tuesday, June 27, 2022, in order to be completed and sent to the mission authority.
With millions of adherents, RCCG is one of the largest churches in Nigeria.
Only the name of Jesus, according to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, can improve the predicament that Nigerians are currently in.
On Tuesday, June 7, the well-known prophet of God made this statement in a post on his personal Facebook page.
The post by Adeboye has also sparked a social media craze, with several users posting an image of Jesus written in red ink on a white background.
